Favorite businesses

I would like to use this space to share with you some of my favorite businesses. I believe they all do good through their sustainability or labor practices and their products are awesome!

Pulp Pantry

These chips are not only delicious and healthy, they have a great food waste story! Founder Katelin is a friend and she is truly passionate about sustainability and all around a great person to support!

Petit Pot

Growing up on Belgium, rice pudding was my favorite dessert. The little jars are so delicious! I am completely addicted to their vanilla plant-based flavor (but they also have diary-based options)!

Lomi from Pela

For many years I composted in my backyard but after I sold my house it was no longer an option. This machine is the second best option. It is truly magical to see my organic waste turn to dirt in 4 hours!

Beautiful Day

Beautiful Day helps refugees adjust to life in America by offering paid, on-the-job training making delicious coffee, granola and granola bars. My favorite is the salted mango bar.

ORI

These bags are made from recycled plastic bottles and the manufacturing process uses 85% less energy, 80% less water, and 65% fewer emissions than traditional methods. Plus the bars are super cute, wash really well and last forever.

Thred UP

You can buy (and sell) gently worn clothes at ThredUP. You help extend the life of clothing and divert items from landfill. You get great clothes for fraction of the price of new clothes! No one can tell these are secondhand items!

Lesser Evil

Most of my favorite snacks are from this brand. They use organic, clean ingredients to make great tasting (mostly savory) snacks. They also use environmentally friendly packaging. Personally, I just LOVE their Hymalaying pink salt Paleo Puffs.

Imperfect Foods

This is a grocery delivery service that focuses on selling products that don’t meet aesthetic standards or are in surplus, so it contribute to reducing food waste. Everything they sell is delicious and nutritious.

Rothy’s

Their shoes are made from recycled plastic bottles with a process that promotes circularity in fashion, that is, “as a continuous loop that renews itself, from material and manufacturing to product and recycling”. The shoes cute, long-lasting, machine-washable and super comfortable.

12tides

These kelp chips are not just delicious and nutrient-dense, they also help clear our oceans by removing carbon and improving water quality while providing a habitat for biodiverse marine life. The packaging is also 100% compostable and plastic-free.
